Under the background of the policy of ‘ruducing students’ homework burden and reducing the burden of off-campus training for students’, promote the classroom teaching reform, truly achieve ‘burden alleviation and quality enhancement’, and objectively and deeply understand the actual classroom teaching of graduating grades, Anqing Foreign Language School’s Junior High Department of the east campus has carried out a one-week classroom research work of Grade 9 since 21st February.
Specifically, ‘go deep into the classroom’, ‘highlight routine’, ‘timely feedback’, ‘reduce the burden and increase efficiency’ have become the main keywords of this research activity. The researchers are led by the director of the Junior High Department, and the outstanding teachers of all disciplines participate in the form of lectures, individual guidance and overall feedback. As a result, through lectures, research, feedback and communication, we can understand the real classroom teaching situation of Grade Nine. What’s more, teachers teaching in the 9th grade are proactive in conducting research classes. Additionally, the teaching design fully reflects the characteristics of each discipline. On the other hand, teachers design guided learning list based on learning situations and adopt the learning method of independent cooperative inquiry to stimulate students to explore actively and improve their enthusiasm. Thus, classroom teaching is constructed on new ideas and effective in action. Furthermore, every ninth grade teacher is striving to break through the traditional positioning and use new ideas to guide classroom teaching. Therefore, the classroom teaching research activities embody the characteristics of ‘strict organization’, ‘orderly development’ and ‘emphasis on pragmaticality’.
To put it in a nutshell, in the face of the environment of reform and the complex and diverse learning situation, all staff of Anqing Foreign Language School work hard and never complain. Instead, they always insist on using a piece of chalk, standing on a platform, and keeping a piece of wheat field of their own with an undeveloped heart.
